It has long been understood that many people will simply not engage in something as a regular discipline unless they understand the importance of it. We must renew our commitment to prayer in the understanding that it is vital to our personal growth as believers and for the mission of the church as a whole. Further, God has determined that prayer can be and will be effective when it is in accordance with his will, and that some things simply will not happen unless we approach him in prayer. Religion is our normal attempt to reach God. We have to believe the right thing behave the right way worship the right way and be part of the right denomination in order to be saved.
