My whole point was to not let fear quench the fire of God in you to do great things. The “not so fair” part of the whole thing, is that I come out sounding better than I am. I am still afraid all the time. It is a constant battle to not let the fear take hold and win.
I just don’t know that I did a good job letting people know that I have not conquered this or any other issue I have ever preached about. And so the old adage is said, it’s easier to talk it than to walk it. I suppose my job as a preacher is to never believe that I am the “Kent” in the 30 min. sound bite, my job is to know my weakness, own my weakness, and to point to Christ who is sufficient for all!
