I sometimes think this is the reason Jesus came to the earth and put on the skin of a man. We were hurting and broken – separated from God and in need of some sort of ultimate treatment. So, in order to communicate the extent of Gods love for us, Jesus became a man, spoke our language, showed us how to live a life that was without wrongdoing and then applied the ultimate salve for our souls. His blood for ours. This is the essence of the gospel. That God, loved us so much that He sent His one and only son to die in our place – the righteous for the unrighteous.

That’s the power of the cross, that’s the good news that we proclaim. And that is why we are planting Epic Church – because our God went first and stepped out to build a relationship with us!

• I feel like I’m on the edge of the first big drop on a roller coaster!  All nervousy tinged with crazy excitement!
• Hopeful that I won’t faint or puke (although when the placenta came out on the video in Lamaze class – I nearly lost the whole enchilada)
• Can’t wait to meet Peter!  I have been teaching him the “High Five & Pound It” – can’t wait to do it in person (between you and me I think Jenni’s belly is getting a little sore from all the high fives…).  Here is a link on how to throw the perfect High Five – I hope it helps some of you out!  Pound It – “Used to express joy after something good happens. • Excited to see Jenni be a mom!  She’s gonna be so great at it!

I will try and update you tomorrow from the delivery room, they have wireless & I have a computer!  Hmmm…  I wonder how Jenni will feel with me giving a play by play on my blog while she is in the midst of labor?  Probably honored & excited to be broadcast over the worldwide inter-web and to have so much attention given to her!  Ha.
