I am also meeting with a couple of church leaders that could be influential.  Please be praying for my meetings with these gentlemen and how God can use these relationships!

I also had the opportunity to talk with the Director of the Andover Senior Citizen’s Club about ways that Epic Church can serve them.  I am excited about the doors God is opening for us to give back to people who have been giving to this community for a long time!  It is also a perfect location for our launch team meetings and she is really interested in renting it to us.

I talked with a lady from City Hall about bringing youth groups on missions trips to serve in the community.  It’s great to start to put some feet to the ideas we have and to share them with others, I am looking forward to the relationship we can have with the City of Andover and getting to serve there!  I also made contact with the Chamber and am excited about what they are doing and the possibility of serving with them – Garrett has been a huge help to me so far and I am looking forward to working with the whole team to find ways we can serve!

Today, I am starting it all again.  I am meeting some guys for lunch and then Jenni and I are taking a couple out to dinner that have been looking for a church – I am excited to get to meet them and hopefully form a friendship!

Tomorrow – Celebrate our Anniversary!  We are going to a Japanese Steak House and then on to a Hockey Game (Jenni’s choice – Best wife ever award!!!)

Sunday/Monday – We present to a church missions board about Epic (they are graciously hosting us in their home and providing us lunch).  Monday I am in Joplin and meet with some pastors, potential staff members and an organization that has a passion to see churches planted!

She is so beautiful!  I can’t wait to see Peter!  Hopeully soon.  I may have a guest blogger after he comes so that I can spend time with Jenni and the baby.  We’ll see…

I also have a lot of pictures, including visitors (I have one of Heath pretending to be Jenni’s doctor as he introduced himself to Jenni’s mom – it was hilarious!!!), the only problem is that the internet here is causing problems with uploading pictures.  I will upload them later!

I can’t wait to hit the ground in Andover and begin infusing the gospel with acts of service!  For those of you who were praying for today, thanks!  I left Wichita today feeling very encouraged that God is definitely up to something through Epic Church!

Jenni and I have really been wrestling with where the exact location of Epic Church is going to rest.  We have been looking over demographics and cost of living, where our strategy would fit best, etc.  It really has been a little bit frustrating if I were totally honest.  We are convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has called us into Church Planting, but don’t know where that is going to be lived out.

Yesterday, I was talking about this with Justin from The Heartland Project, and he gave me the whack I needed.  Justin asked me to quit worrying about all of the details and to ask one simple question, this is my paraphrase of the question, “Who are the people that God is burning a whole in your heart to reach?  Where do they live?”  Honestly, I was a little blown away – in a good way.  I needed someone to knock me out of my state of worry and into a state of anticipation.  I am fasting the next couple of days seeking God on this issue.  I need you to be praying with Jenni and I about this.  We honestly have some great opportunities in front of us, each is coupled with it’s own difficulty.  I am confident of this:  I need a fire for a people lit in my bones.  I need to want to serve the community we land in, not as a strategy, but as an overflow of the passion God has placed in my heart for those people.

This is where it all begins…

This is where we hit the ground running…  would you pray over the next couple of days with Jenni and I – would you even consider fasting with me?  This is the biggest decision we have made in our adult lives, everything will be altered by this and there are no guarantees, only faith that God has lit a fire!

Pray for Jenni this weekend, this is probably the last trip she will take until our baby is born. She is such a trooper, I wish I was as strong as her!
