Girl Fight…
Fri, May 15, 2009
So, today, Jenni and I went to Lowes to prepare for our next big yard work day. We pulled up to the parking lot, get out, and hear girls screaming. I can’t see where it’s coming from. I go to get a cart and see that there is a group of girls getting in a fight near a minivan. I have to admit – my first response was, “well, that’s not good.” It was a response of judgment on the situation rather than action. It took about 5 seconds for me to realize I needed to do something (this was about the time I saw the mother of one of the girls pick up a baseball bat).
I told Jenni I was going to go try and do something about the fight. I walked over, trying to look much taller than I am, and said, “you ladies need any help?” The two girls that had been harrassing the mom and daughter, jumped in their car and took off. I asked the mother if she was alright, made sure they were ok and went on to my shopping. What a crazy day!

I think the correct response is to take out your cell phone, record the whole thing and then upload to YouTube. Good for you for doing something different.
