An Epic Journey

I was recently thinking back to the time when I didn’t know God.  I knew of God, I knew of Jesus, but I was truly disconnected from Him – I didn’t have a relationship with Him. I was trying to share with some of our teenagers just how hopeless those days were.  Death was constantly on my mind, I was afraid of what lay beyond my last breath.  I had no purpose and no real value aside from that which I could garnish through a few laughs and well placed jokes. Remembering that place in life was good.  It brought back the desperation, the sleepless nights, the crazy theories trying to figure out how I even came to exist.  It reminded me of the people I want to become friends with, that I want to serve and give my life for!  Planting a new church is not just about having another church, planting a new church is about giving one more opportunity for people like me to find a savior like Jesus! Take some time today to pray for Jenni, Peter & I as we gear up to move to Andover, KS to plant Epic Church – a church for people who feel disconnected from God and want to find a way to know Him!
