An Epic Journey

One of my favorite characters from the show Lost is Mr. Echo - unfortunately they killed him off (sorry for the spoiler if you are just getting into the show).  I loved that Echo had a broken past but a redeemed future.  This week I was thinking about my past and where I had come from spiritually speaking.  I was reminded of the depth of wickedness I lived in and how pervasive it was in my life.  I am so thankful that Jesus has given me hope and life!  I echo Paul’s words in 1 Timothy 1:12-14:

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”
