Suits and Weddings?

I just did Jenny (Rupp) Seemans wedding. It is very apparent that I need a new suit - I felt like it was going to burst at the seems. Ha! This leads me to my question, Do you think a minister has to wear a suit or can he just wear a nice pair of slax, a shirt & tie? I think I might just purchase a real nice robe - robes are pretty sweet!
