Every Church has Core Values that determine who they are and how they function. At Epic Church we want to be very purposeful in laying out what our Core Values are in order to function in a manner worthy of the Gospel.
We believe that:
Connecting people through Jesus means everything to God (Matthew 18:11-13 - this is the principle of leaving the 99 for the 1.)
Relevant environments equal receptive audiences (John 3:16 - Jesus entered the world in a relevant form, we call it incarnation, so that we might be receptive to Him and gain eternal life.)
Small groups are where the church is really the church (Hebrews 3:12-14 - the body at large needs daily encouragement in order to stave off the hardening effects of sin. This kind of community happens in small groups.)
Spiritual growth is intentional and we are intentional about growing (Colossians 1:10, 1 Peter 2:2 - Growth is an active event, spiritual growth starts with an internal drive to crave the things of God - it is purposeful.)
Scripture sets the standard for life (2 Timothy 3:16-17 - The Scripture is the word of God written - it is the standard by which all things are measured.)
Purposeful relationships lead to life change through Christ (1 Corinthians 9:21-23 - Because God cares so much about connecting people to Himself, everything we do must be tainted with pointing people to the Gospel.)
Christ followers are leaders (1 Timothy 4:11-13, Titus 2:5-8 - Followers of Jesus must set the example of love for God and love for People.
Leaders serve (Mark 10:44 - Whoever wants to achieve greatness in the Kingdom must become a servant to all.)
